Welcome to Antipode, the home of Marlborough's finest extra virgin olive oil.
At Antipode, we have a single-minded focus on producing premium extra virgin olive oil. We grow the Tuscan varieties, Leccino, Frantoio and Pendolino on our organic olive grove and vineyard, five minutes west of Renwick, up the Wairau Valley.
We water our 1,000 trees sparingly, prune them harshly and manage them organically. We harvest our olives by hand every June and carefully blend the oil to achieve an intense, fruity and complex oil with a lingering finish.
We have won gold medals for our Leccino Frantoio blend in every Olives New Zealand competition entered - 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2008. Additionally, we have won first prize in the robust category in the 2007 and 2008 Marlborough A&P Show olive oil awards.
Our olive oil is available from selected retail outlets, including Moore Wilsons in Wellington, the Olive Shop in Rapaura Road in Marlborough, Salty Pig Deli in Sumner and the Riverstone Kitchen in Oamaru.
